Psilo-QTest

The Psilo-Q test kit provides a quick, accessible and reasonably accurate method for determining the concentration of psilocybin in magic truffles or magic mushrooms. Testing in 4 steps

Step 1

Before you start testing, proper preparation is essential. First, take everything out of the test kit and make sure your hands and forearms are thoroughly clean. Then put on the attached gloves. Make sure your work environment, such as your kitchen countertop, is clean and free of bacteria. Use a scale to weigh about 150 mg of the material to be tested. Also be sure to heat a liter of water, but do not let it boil; boiling water can destroy the psilocybin. Let the water cool a bit before continuing.

Step 2

Take the vial in which you are going to do the extraction and put the finely ground mushrooms or truffles in it. Be sure to tighten the cap firmly and shake well for about 10 seconds. Then let it rest for 10 minutes. Do this process a total of three times. Use the sterifilt and attach it to the syringe. With this, aspirate 1 ml of liquid from the vial. To do this, pull the plunger of the syringe all the way back to gradually fill the syringe with liquid due to the vacuum effect created. Then remove the sterifilt, attach the cannula to the syringe and inject the liquid through the cannula into the glass vial through the rubber part. Make sure that the syringe itself does not come into contact with the liquid in the glass container. To avoid splashing when you remove the syringe from the vial, fill the syringe with air while it is still in the vial. This creates a positive pressure in the syringe

Step 3

Place the glass container in hot water, but make sure the water does not boil. It is safe to immerse it completely, as the rubber part protects it from water penetration. The liquid in the container will begin to discolor. After about 15 minutes, you can see the results. Be careful when removing the container from the hot water: use tongs or pour out the water first and let the container cool for a while. Be careful, the glass can be very hot!

Step 4

The liquid in your glass container should now have a tint ranging from beige to dark brown. This is the sign you are waiting for. Using the color chart provided, you can now estimate how many milligrams of psilocybin are in 1 gram of your sample. A handy tip: for best results, place the color chart and jar against a white background and judge it in natural light or under a lamp with a color temperature of 6500k. Next, compare the color of your sample with the color chart to find the closest match and thus the concentration.

Storage and shelf life

Store the box in the refrigerator between 2 °C and 8 °C. That way your stuff will keep for 12 months. The extraction solution may turn a little yellow after a while, but it does not matter for use.
