Kratom is an herb from the leaves of a Thai tree. It has long been in use in Thailand because of its medicinal properties. Effects

More than 25 different alkaloids have been found in kratom leaves of which mitragynine is believed to be the most important. Mitragynine is related to substances in psychedelic drugs. But Kratom does not have a psychedelic effect. It has the narcotic effects of opium and, like other opiates, arouses sexual desire. Most users report improvement in mood, disappearance of anxiety and a sense of overall relaxation. High doses can cause prolonged sleep.

Use

Kratom can be prepared for use in various ways. The most common is making tea. Add 0.5 to 1 gram to 150 ml of boiling water, let steep for 10 minutes. Add some honey if necessary and drink it.
